About WFA

The World Flair Association (WFA) is an organisation dedicated to flair bartending, bringing together bartenders from all over the globe and creating professional standards for flair worldwide, with over 8,000 members in more than 100 countries.

They established the WFA gradings, the most widely recognised grading system for flair bartenders. The WFA grades measure practical skills meant to be possessed by a bartender.

WFA Yellow Level Training and Exam

This is the starting point for many professional bartenders. At the yellow level, a bartender can establish the foundations of practical bartending skills on which to build and grow their career. To earn the WFA Yellow Level Certificate, a bartender will have to pass a graded test demonstrating their skill and proficiency in the following three modules:

FREE POURING:

Accurately free-pour the two most common measures (single/double shot) with either hand using a bounce pour technique while performing a basic flair move.

SPEED MIXING:

Produce two classic cocktails to specification in a target time of 1 minute.

FLAIR BARTENDING:

Demonstrate 21 basic flair moves while producing the same two classic cocktails to specification within a target time of 3 minutes.

At the end of the course, you will get an internationally recognized qualification that demonstrates professional knowledge and skill in flair bartending.

Certificates:

  • Digital badge on the WFA website.

  • WFA Certificate.

FREE POURING:

Accurately free-pour four different measures with both hands, and perform a chase pour (simultaneously pour different measures from each hand) and then execute a flair pour.

SPEED MIXING:

Produce three classic cocktails to specification within a target time of 2 minutes.

FLAIR BARTENDING:

Demonstrate 26 specified flair moves while producing two classic cocktails to specification within a target time of 4 minutes.
